1. Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Top Hampshire Removals (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to our customers. By booking our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
2. Quotations
All quotations are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. We reserve the right to revise a quotation if the volume of goods or nature of the job differs materially from that described when the quotation was given.
3. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we provide written confirmation (by email or message) and you confirm acceptance. A deposit may be required for some bookings, which is non-refundable if you cancel with fewer than 5 working days notice.
4. Cancellations and Changes
Cancellations made with more than 5 working days notice will not incur a charge (subject to any deposit terms). Changes to booking dates are accommodated where possible, subject to availability. We may need to adjust pricing for date changes that fall in a higher-demand period.
5. Our Responsibilities
We will take reasonable care of your goods during loading, transit, and unloading. We carry goods-in-transit insurance. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to items, damage to items packed by the customer, or damage caused by inherent defects in the goods themselves.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring all items to be moved are disclosed at the quotation stage
- Having all items packed and ready for collection at the agreed time
- Informing us of any access restrictions, narrow lanes, parking limitations, or floor levels
- Ensuring parking permits or dispensations are obtained if required
- Not including hazardous materials, perishables, or prohibited items
7. Damage Claims
Any claim for damage must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of the move completion date. Claims reported after this period may not be accepted. Please retain all packaging materials until any claim is resolved.
8. Payment
Payment is due as specified in your booking confirmation. For most moves, payment is due on or before completion of the move. We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payment. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the terms of our goods-in-transit insurance policy. We are not liable for indirect losses, consequential losses, or losses caused by delays beyond our reasonable control (including adverse weather, traffic, or third party delays).
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
